“Complexity we remove can never fail.”
—Burt Rutan
Examine the system; find the complexity and take it out – it’s the core of highly skilled engineering. Apply the skill to products and systems ranging from lower limb prosthetics to exterior door systems. This is where Mark Riechmann excels.
In a career that originates as a Rehabilitation Engineer and progresses through Project Engineer to Engineering Manager, Mark has developed methods and processes that have created over $30 million in value for his employers and clients. Using a variety of design skills, Mark creates highly functional systems with a minimum of complexity and a maximum of simplicity. His ability is evidenced in his patent that he gained for his work on an innovative door latch for exterior patio doors.
Earning a degree in Biology and Zoology from Colorado State University wasn’t the end point for Mark. It only led him to the attainment of a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering and subsequently a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue. A contributor to many employers and clients, Mark has completed projects for the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, Dana Corporation, Therma-Tru Corporation and Ferno-Washington’s Angola Division.
Well versed in Lean principles and the Theory of Constraints, Mark works well with all levels of the organization. Highly organized Mark gathers a maximum amount of information in a minimum amount of time and distills it to produce unmatched savings. Highly intuitive, Mark understands the complexity of the client’s system to produce a solution that enhances the competitive advantage of the product or operation.
We encourage you to challenge Mark with your most complex system… He will engineer the complexity out.
